Web Survey Publishing

You must have access to a web server for publishing your web site and HTML survey forms on the Internet. The web host (ISP) must give you the administrative rights that allow you to use executable CGI scripts on the web server. These executable CGI scripts include generic scripts like formmail and sendmail (all open source and in the public domain). Your web host would be responsible for installing these generic scripts, and telling you their location so you can use these scripts. Windows Servers usually support CDONTS and CDOSYS and ASP scripts.

For advanced processing of web survey responses, your web site must be able to run custom Perl CGI scripts. Your web host would be responsible for installing Perl (freely available), and telling you the location, so you can use the custom Perl CGI scripts created by WISCO Survey Power.

The locations of the generic scripts and Perl are required by the WISCO Survey Power software. These locations are inserted in the HTML survey forms and custom Perl CGI scripts created to process your web surveys. You upload the HTML survey web page and custom Perl CGI scripts created by WISCO Survey Power to your folders on the web server.
